The George Cobb design opened in 1967 and was renovated in 2019
Troon has been selected to manage The Club at Sea Palms, located in St. Simons Island, Georgia. Troon will manage the golf operations, golf course agronomy and membership marketing, while Aimbridge Hospitality will operate Sea Palms Resort.
The Club at Sea Palms’ 18-hole golf course is open to resort, daily-fee and member play. Georgia native George Cobb originally designed the 6,608-yard, par 71 golf course in 1967. A 2019 renovation put the shine back on the Golden Isles’ course. The course meanders through live oaks, towering pines and Spanish moss-covered trees amid the beautiful low country terrain.
“RREAF selected Troon to manage the golf operations as part of our and our co-owner DLP Capital’s continued commitment to best-in-class service,” said Kip Sowden, the CEO of Dallas-based RREAF Holdings that owns the Sea Palms Resort. “The Sea Palms Resort has experienced increased demand in recent years and we have significant plans to improve the quality and experience for both the members and guests.”
“We feel privileged to be entrusted by RREAF Holdings at The Club at Sea Palms as they seek to further elevate the quality of the golf and hospitality experience for all members and hotel guests,” Troon VP of operations Joe Langford said.
